Kaizu has drawn inspiration from a diverse range of sources as a multilingual writer: antiquity, philosophy, Japanese literature and folklore, the Baroque, Gothic literature, film noir, and modern Russian poetry. She experiments with sound, space, gesture and hybridization in her creative writing. In addition to publishing her creative work, she has translated prose and poetry and contributed art reviews.
